Austin Man Working In Round Rock Arrested For Promotion Of Child Pornography

Marc Turner, 52, reportedly admitted to addiction after images were found on his computer at home and at his home, officials said.

ROUND ROCK, TX — A man working at an unnamed Round Rock company was recently charged with promotion of child pornography, according to a newly released arrest affidavit.

Referencing jail records, the Austin American-Statesman reported that Marc Turner, 52, was booked into the Travis County Jail on Monday. He had been under investigation by his Round Rock employer after officials there found illegal content related to possession and promotion of child pornography on his work computer during a routine network search conducted from July 7-27, according to the report.

Law enforcement officials withheld the identity of the company, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation, according to the report. Investigators did volunteer they found images and videos of an exposed child on two storage devices connected to Turner's computer, according to the affidavit.

Turner's Austin address is in near proximity to Bluebonnet Trail Elementary school. The Manor ISD school is located half-a-mile from Turner's home, just two minutes away on nearby Farmhaven Road where Bluebonnet Trail Elementary is located.
