Austin Police Officer Draws 15-Day Suspension For Road Rage Incident With Round Rock Resident
Officer Christopher Williams disciplined after following man to his home following an argument, according to an internal memo.

ROUND ROCK, TX — An Austin police officer has been suspended for 15 days stemming from a road rage incident that occurred last year when he argued with another motorist and then followed him to his Round Rock home, according to a published report.
The incident is outlined in a memo from the office of Austin Police Chief Brian Manley that was obtained by the Austin American-Statesman. The Oct. 31 memo to the city's director of civil service details an unspecified altercation involving Austin police officer Christopher Williams and another driver, according to the report.
After the encounter, Williams is said to have followed the other driver to his Round Rock home, prompting the other driver to go inside his house, exit with a shotgun and continue to argue with Williams, who eventually started heading back to his home—with the other driver following him to his residence this time, according to the report.

Once outside the gated entry to Williams' neighborhood, the argument re-ignited, during which time Williams identified himself as a police officer while advising the other driver he was trespassing, according to the report. The officer called his police counterparts in Round Rock, and the responding officer issued criminal trespass warnings to both for having followed each other to their respective homes.
Williams is said to have failed to report the incident to his higher-ups as required by policy, and only confirmed the altercation had occurred when approached by his superiors, the Statesman reported.
