Body Found In Round Rock Pond: Police

ROUND ROCK, TEXAS — A body was discovered in a pond along the northern portion of Round Rock east of the Teravista Golf Club, police said on Wednesday evening.

The body was discovered near Vizcaya Parkway and University Boulevard, according to a Round Rock Police Department tweet posted just before 7 p.m. Police said they were investigating the case in determining a cause of death.

No other details were available. It's unknown if the body is of a man or a woman let alone the age and physical description of the deceased person. Extrapolating meaning from the police tweet, one of its aims appears to assuage residents there is no danger to the public in the wake of the discovery.

The area where the body was found is located in close proximity to the Teravista Golf Club located just under 3 miles from the scene. Closer to the scene is Paloma Lake a sizable body of water adjacent to its namesake residential neighborhood.
