Cedar Park Included In County-Wide Burn Ban
Given the hot temperatures of late with not enough rain, outside burning prohibition will be in place for a period not to exceed 90 days.

CEDAR PARK, TX — The Williamson County Commissioners Court approved implementation of a county burn ban, officials said Tuesday.
The ban on burning is not to exceed 90 days, according to a county-issued press advisory.
Violating this order comes through the burning of any combustible material outside of an enclosure which serves to contain all flames and/or sparks. The burn ban also prohibits the burning of household yard waste such as leaves, grass, brush and other yard trimmings, county officials noted.

There's a steep fan for violating the order, which is a Class C Misdemeanor punishable by a fine up to $500, officials said. The burn ban is applicable to all of Williamson County, which includes Cedar Park.
