'Celebration Of Life' Service Set For Fallen Round Rock Officer

Charles Whites, who succumbed from injuries sustained after being struck by a car while on duty, will be honored on May 2.

ROUND ROCK, TX — A Celebration of Life for fallen Round Rock officer Charles Whites has been scheduled for next week in Austin.

The officer died Thursday after succumbing to injuries suffered Feb. 25 when he was struck by a car while directing traffic around an accident scene along Interstate 35. He was a 19-year veteran of the Round Rock Police Department.

The Celebration of Life service for Whites is scheduled on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Shoreline Church (North Campus) located at 15201 Burnet Road in Austin. Immediately following the service outside of the church, full law enforcement honors will be conducted, including a procession back to Beck Funeral Home (15709 Ranch Road 620), officials said.
