Completion Of FM 1460 Widening Project In Williamson County Feted
Dec.10 groundbreaking will mark completion of 3.5-mile project in cooperative effort among county, TxDot, Round Rock and Georgetown.

ROUND ROCK, TEXAS — The Texas Department of Transportation, in cooperation with Williamson County and the cities of Georgetown and Round Rock, will celebrate the completion of the FM 1460 widening project stretching from Quail Valley Drive to University Boulevard, state transportation officials said on Friday.
The $21 million project converted approximately 3.5 miles of an existing two-lane roadway to a five-lane section from Quail Valley Drive to SE Inner Loop, and a four-lane divided highway from SE Inner Loop to University Boulevard. "The population of Williamson County continues to grow, and this project will enhance safety and reduce congestion for motorists traveling through the area," TxDot officials said in a press advisory.
The groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled on Monday, Dec. 10, at 11 a.m. The event will take place at the cul-de-sac on Old 1460 Trail.
