Congressional Art Competition Winners To Be Named In Round Rock

Hour-long event takes place at the Texas State University Round Rock campus, 1555 University Blvd., on Saturday, May 12.

ROUND ROCK, TX — Winners of the 2018 Annual Congressional Art Competition will be announced at a Saturday reception hosted by city officials.

The annual event showcases high school students' art from every congressional district in the country. The winning artwork from each district will be displayed for one year in the Cannon Office Building tunnel leading into the U.S. Capitol, city officials explained.

Additionally, the winner from Texas District 31 will be awarded two round-trip airline tickets to Washington, D.C., including two nights of accommodations.

The hour-long event takes place at the Texas State University Round Rock campus, 1555 University Blvd., on Saturday, May 12, at 1 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
