Coronavirus: Williamson County Illness Count Grows To 128

Four more patients were positively diagnosed with respiratory illness over the past 24 hours, according to county health officials.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX β€” Health officials on Wednesday said four new cases of the new coronavirus have been diagnosed in Williamson County, bringing the total illness count to 128.

In reporting the new cases, Williamson County and Cities Health District officials noted 75 people have recovered after contratcting COVID-19. To date, according to the health data, four people have died from the respiratory illness in Williamson County.

Additional deaths and cases are reported daily at around noon on a dashboard located at www.wcchd.org/COVID-19/dashboard.php. Cases in "Other cities in Williamson County" column are a combined total that include cities with populations below 20,000 and unincorporated Williamson to protect the privacy of residents.

Those with symptoms of respiratory illness β€” including cough, fever and shortness of breath β€” are urged to contact their health care providers. Health officials stress the importance of calling ahead before arriving at a clinic, urgent care or emergency department to avoid potential spread.
