Coronavirus: Williamson County Illness Count Grows To 42

Health officials said five new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — Health officials on Monday confirmed the diagnosis of five more positive cases for new coronavirus, bringing the region's total to 42.

Williamson County and Cities Health Department officials recently unveiled a dashboard showing details on cases as it relates to patients' age ranges and the city of their residence. Updated at noon daily, the dashboard is located at www.wcchd.org/COVID-19/dashboard.php. The dashboard is updated at noon daily.

In updating the total, health officials urged residents to take precautions to avoid being sick. Those with symptoms of respiratory illness including cough, fever and shortness of breath, are urged to contact their health care providers. Officials noted it is important to call ahead before arriving at a clinic, urgent care or emergency department to avoid potential spread.
