Council To Consider Banning Truck Traffic, Authorizing $75K For Shelter
The next regular city council meeting is scheduled Feb. 25, and will begin at 7 p.m.

ROUND ROCK, TX -- City Council members will vote on some important issues at their regular meeting this week, including considering banning truck traffic in neighborhood streets and considering allocating $75,000 for improvements to the homeless shelter.
Council members will consider an ordinance that would ban commercial trucks on Bluffstone Drive from County Road 117 to Old Settlers Boulevard. The area of focus is on Settlers Park Loop from its eastern intersection with Old Settlers Boulevard to its western intersection with Old Settlers Boulevard, on Chamberlain Drive from Old Settlers Boulevard to Clinton Place; on Pauling Lane from Red Bud Lane to Butler Way; and on Marshall Train from County Road 117 to Clinton Place.
This will be the second reading of the proposed ordinance. Council members previously discussed the idea of banning commercial truck traffic after residents complained of trucks cutting through their neighborhoods to access a work site for a much-anticipated sports complex nearby.
