Police ID Dead Woman In Storage Unit, Charge Suspect With Murder

Police have accused Jose Villasenor Diaz, 44, of murder in the stabbing death of estranged wife Dora Quiroz-Gonzalez, 41.

ROUND ROCK, TX — Police have identified the woman who was found dead at a storage facility on Monday and named the suspect now charged with murder.

The victim was identified as Dora Quiroz-Gonzalez, 41. The suspect, Jose Villaseñor Diaz, 44, was booked into the Williamson County Jail on a murder charge, officials said in an update. The two were an estranged maried couple.

Police said Diaz on Monday morning met with his estranged wife at a storage facility at 506 McNeil Road, where he stabbed her to death inside a storage unit. In an earlier advisory, police said the woman's body was found at the storage facility at around 10 a.m. on Monday.

In a press advisory Monday afternoon, the Round Rock Police Department said the death might be the result of family violence. The woman's body was found at a storage facility located along the 500 block of North Interstate 35 at around 10 a.m. on Monday, police said.

Police provided no further details, but said they would keep the media apprised as more information is learned.
