#DontBetOnRed: Police Warn About Red Light Running Dangers

The Round Rock Police made a video warning citizens that running a red light can lead to serious injury, or even death.

 ROUND ROCK, TX - The Round Rock police made a video reminding civilians about the dangers and consequences of running red lights.

“Don’t gamble with your life or the lives of others. Red-light running can severely cost you in multiple ways. Watch this video to find out how,” the police wrote on social media.

According to the video, red light collisions increased by a whopping 77 percent between 2014 and 2015. Running a red light can get you slapped with a fine of over $200, and if it is not paid a warrant will be issued for your arrest.

The police are using the hashtag #DontBetOnrRed in hopes of spreading awareness of the dangerous problem.
