Exploding Ammunition Complicates WilCo Structure Fire
Firefighters were dispatched 2810 Bell Gin Rd. in Georgetown to extinguish a structure fire with exploding ammo inside on Sunday.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — A Williamson County structure fire on Sunday was made more difficult to fight given the presence of exploding ammunition inside the building, officials said.
Firefighters were dispatched to the fire at 2810 Bell Gin Rd. in Georgetown, Texas, just before 9 a.m. Residents in the surrounding area were alerted to the conflagration through a reverse 911 call, although it's unclear if evacuations were required.
The road leading up to the structure was closed as firefighters battled the blaze, according to the Williamson County Sheriff's Office. Motorists were highly urged to avoid the area as fire crews sought to extinguish the flames.
