Fire Department Breaks Ground on Two New Stations

The new Fire Stations, Nos. 4 and 8, will improve response time in the southwest portion of Round Rock.

City and Fire officials gathered Monday for a ground breaking ceremony for Fire Station No. 4 and Fire Station No. 8.

The ceremony took place at the new site for Fire Station No. 4 on Gattis School Road. Fire Station No. 8 will be located at 1612 Red Bud Lane. Both of the new fire stations are being built to improve response times in the southwest portion of Round Rock, according to a news release on the government’s website.

“The construction of these two fire stations is to improve the response needs of the community and shows our City’s dedication to the safety and well-being of our citizenry,” Battalion Chief Shane Glaiser said in the release.
