The City of Round Rock, in conjunction with the Capital Area Council of Governments (CAPCOG), will host public safety officials for a day-long, full-scale exercise to test their collective response to a simulated emergency event, officials said in a press advisory. First responders will be tasked with coordinating communication and tactics in line with CAPCOG’s Regional Interoperable Communications Plan and mutual aid plan, officials added.

The exercise is scheduled to take place Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 9 a.m. at the Round Rock Public Safety Training Center, 2801 N. Mays St. (located just north of Round Rock Police Department). The exercise will take place on the north side of the building, according to officials.
