Grinch No Match For Williamson County Do-Gooders
Someone stole food and supplies from the regional animal shelter, but workers at the clerk's office stepped up to replace the items.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS — The grinch met its match in Pflugerville after altruists replaced pet food and supplies recently stolen from the local animal shelter.
Instead of staging their traditional Christmas luncheon as they do every year, staffers at the Williamson County Clerk's Office instead stepped up to replace the stolen supplies after a recent burglary at the Williamson County Animal Shelter. Workers donated about 18 pounds of cat food, 56 pounds of dog food, two beds, another pair of crates, a dog chew bone and various toys.
And those are just conservative figures: “This is an estimate on the food, as we are still collecting it," county clerk Nancy Rister said. "We will take it all over to the regional animal shelter this week.”
