Landscape, Beekeeping Classes Scheduled In Williamson County

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension is offering a lawn and ornamental-landscape training and another on bees and bee-friendly plants.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — The Williamson County Texas A&M AgriLife Extension is offering a pair of upcoming classes related to landscaping and beekeeping.

Lawn & Ornamental-Landscape Maintenance Category Training

This eight-hour course scheduled on Feb. 19 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., will help prepare individuals licensing with the Texas Department of Agriculture in the Landscape Maintenance (Ornamental & Turf) category. The material includes how to control of insects, diseases, unwanted plants and other organisms from affecting ornamental plants and turf grasses.

For $170, participants will receive the required category training manual (AES-5066), the General manual (AES-5073), and the Laws and Regulations manual (AES-5056), and instruction from Dr. Mark A. Matocha. Those wishing to sign up can do so by clicking here.

Come and learn all about bee keeping and bee-friendly plants during a "Hands-On In The Garden" series led by Master Gardener Jennifer Harbour on Feb. 22.
