Man Accused Of Threatening Round Rock Eatery Worker With Knife

ROUND ROCK, TX — A man is accused of threatening an employee at a Round Rock restaurant over the weekend, according to a published report.
Chase Cook, 36, of Balch Springs, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison. The Austin American-Statesman reported police were notified at 10:46 a.m. Saturday about the incident at the Taco Cabana at 2110 Interstate 35 South.
According to the report, Cook had been in the restaurant a few minutes asking customers for money, according to an arrest affidavit. The employee told police she told Cook to leave before he pointed a knife at the woman while cursing and threatening her.

Cook later was found by police with a 3.5-inch kitchen knife in his back pocket, according to the report. Williamson County Jail records indicate Cook was being held with a bond seat at $40,000.
