Man Charged With Sexual Assault Of Woman He Met At Round Rock Bar
Roy Thomas Walters, 37, faces 20 years in prison after allegedly assaulting woman he and another man met at Big Shotz neighborhood bar.

ROUND ROCK, TX — A man from Hutto, Texas, is accused of sexually assaulting a woman he met at a Round Rock bar, according to reports.
Roy Thomas Walters, 37, was arrested last weekend — nearly two years after the crime was first reported to police — according to a report in the Austin American-Statesman. A Round Rock Police Department spokesman explained the case was delayed as DNA analysis was undertaken, exacerbated by a difficulty in locating Walters, the Austin American-Statesman reported.
According to arrest documents released on Tuesday, officers received a call in November 2015 alerting them of a woman on the ground along the 2100 block of Red Wing Way in Round Rock. The woman told police she had been sexually assaulted by two men before being thrown out of a vehicle.

According to the report, the victim told police she met the two men at Big Shotz Neighborhood Bar at 399 W Louis Henna Blvd. in Round Rock. Although she didn't consume too many drinks that night, she said she felt intoxicated and had no memory of certain times during the evening after leaving the bar with the two men, the newspaper reported.
The woman told police she did remember leaving a drink unattended at some point during the evening. The three traveled to a gas station at 553 Louis Henna Blvd. before arriving at a home to which she couldn't recall the address, according to the report. She then reported having been struck in the head by one of the two men as she expressed a desire to leave, according to the arrest documents.

She recalled being held down while Walters allegedly assaulted her sexually. The other unidentified man in the case reportedly paid for the drinks that evening with a credit card, the conduit used to track him down, according to the report. The credit card bills led police to a house on Red Wing Way in Round Rock, just two blocks from where the woman was found, the newspaper reported.
The car in the driveway matched one found on surveillance camera footage from the convenience store, according to the report.
The other man who paid for the drinks voluntarily provided a DNA sample, and it didn't match that found during the woman's sexual assault examination. Walters was subsequently arrested last Friday before being released from the Williamson County Jail upon posting bond on a $70,000 bail.
It's unclear why the second man wasn't charged or if there are plans to charge him with a crime.
Walters now faces 20 years in prison on the sexual assault charge, which is a second=degree felony.
