Man Charged With Stealing $2,600 From Round Rock Adidas Store

Frank Rodriguez III used to work at 4401 Interstate 35 store until money went missing, effectively terminating his career in footwear.

ROUND ROCK, TX — An Adidas shoe store worker at a Round Rock outlet mall has been accused of stealing $2,600 from the store, according to a published report.

The case dates to December 2017, when an Adidas regional loss prevention manager told police of missing money from a cash deposit during that time period, according to an arrest affidavit referenced by the Austin American-Statesman. The incident centers on the store located at 4401 Interstate 35 in Round Rock, according to the report.

The manager interviewed the now-former employee, Frank Rodriguez III, who is said to have admitted taking the store's cash deposit bag that had been entrusted to him, according to the report. He is alleged to have taken the cash-filled bag to the footwear department where there were no surveillance cameras, removing the cash and discarding the bag. Then, he allegedly created another cash deposit bag, put the remaining cash inside that one, and depositing into the store safe, according to the affidavit.
