Multiple Power Outages Reported In Round Rock As Temps Plummet

Oncor utility storm center site shows map of affected area but estimated time of power restoration was unknown early Tuesday.

ROUND ROCK, TEXAS — Amid freezing temperatures hovering at around 32 degrees, multiple power outages were reported in the Round Rock area late Monday and into early Tuesday.

The exact number of homes affected was unknown, but the Oncor utility indicated on its website that "multiple" outages had been reported. No timeline was provided as to when service might be restored.

Affected residents also can call 888-313-4747, Oncor's automated outage reporting system, to report power outages in Round Rock. Those who call the hotline will receive an estimated time for power restoration. Callers also should have their account numbers found on their bill comprising 15 digits that starts with “1044372000…”

Several residents took to the Facebook neighborhood page "People of Round Rock" to report outages in their areas. One person reported power was out at Tera Vista. Another reported outages in Settlement and Eagle Nest.
