8 Coronavirus Cases Now Confirmed In Williamson County

A woman in her 40s is the latest to test positive with COVID-19 contracted through community spread, health officials said Friday.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX β€” An additional case of COVID-19 has emerged in Williamson County, bringing the total illness count to eight, officials said in a press advisory.

The latest person to be afflicted with the respiratory ailment was described as a woman in her 40s with exposure to an area with community spread, according to Williamson County and Cities Health District (WCCHD) officials.

"At this stage information is very limited," officials said in a press advisory. "WCCHD and Williamson County will share more as it becomes available and necessary to protect the health of the public."
