New Year's Day Brunches in the Round Rock Area

What’s a better way to nurse that New Year’s Eve hangover than New Year’s day brunch? Here’s a list of some of the best places to have your first brunch of 2016.

Jack Allen’s Kitchen- (West Austin and Round Rock)

The well-loved restaurant will serve its regular menu but will offer $4 cocktail specials including margaritas, bloody marys, pomegranate sangria, and mimosas. All tables will also get a complimentary good luck sample of black eyed peas.

Jacoby’s - 3235 East Cesar Chavez st.

The New Year’s Day brunch buffet will run from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and costs $40 for adults and $20 for kids. The menus includes Southern-inspired items such as smoked brisket hash and shrimp and grits.

Liberty Tavern - 500 East 4th St

The sports bar at the Hilton plans to extend their breakfast buffet to be served from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. for $22.50 per person. It’s rumored that Chef Carlos Cruz’s menudo is a miracle hangover cure. There will also be a bloody Mary bar in case you’re looking for some hair of the dog.

El MesΓ³n -2038 S Lamar Blvd

If you’re looking for a Mexican themed brunch this is your place. The menu will include pozole blanco, suckling cochinita pibil, and homemade tamales. Brunch is $24, $9 for kids 6 to 10, and $4 for kids 6 and under.

Banger’s Sausage House & Beer Garden -79 & 81 Rainey St.

For a more laid-back brunch option try Banger’s, which will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be live music from Interrobang from noon to 3:00 p.m.
