No Injuries Result From 4th Of July Round Rock House Fire
16 firefighters descended to 100 Blue Spruce Way on Wednesday afternoon, discovering a mattress that had caught on fire in bedroom.

ROUND ROCK, TX — No injuries resulted from a house fire that occurred on July 4, officials said Thursday.
Firefighters responded to the structure fire at 100 Blue Spruce Way just before 4:40 p.m. on Wednesday, city officials said in an advisory. Upon arrival at the scene, fire crews reported smoke coming out of the front door of the home.
Upon entry, firefighters discovered a mattress on fire in one of the homes bedrooms. Strictly confined to the bedroom, the fire was quickly extinguished. Fire officials said one person was at home at the time of the fire, and was alerted to the blaze thanks to smoke detectors. She exited the home uninjured, fire officials said.

Monetary damage was estimated at $24,000 to the damaged structure and its contents.
Three engines, two aerials, and a shift commander responded to the scene for a total 16 fire personnel, officials noted. The fire was contained at approximately 4:54 p.m. and totally extinguished by 5:03 p.m. The last fire department units cleared the scene at 7:19 p.m.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
