Out-Of-County Birth Certificates Unavailable In Williamson County
From Dec. 28 to Jan. 2, clerk's office won't be able to provide such documentation as the state switches to a new computer system.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS — The Williamson County Clerk's Office will not have access to sell out-of-county birth certificates over part of the holiday period, officials said.
The inability to provide such birth certificates will run between noon on Dec. 28 through 8 a.m. on Jan. 2, officials said. The reason for the lack of access, county officials explained, is that the Texas Health and Human Services agency is transitioning from its current Texas Electronic Registrar system (TER) to a new system, Texas Electronic Vital Events Registrar (TxEVER). As a result, only Williamson County birth certificates will be available during this time period.
All remote access to statewide records will be down during the aforementioned dates, but if a birth certificate is needed outside of Williamson County, officials recommend those needing one visit the county of birth to obtain records, or visit the state portal to order online, which is accessible by clicking here.
