Pair Of Teens From Round Rock ISD High School Accused Of Sexual Assault

Deshun Semai Thomas, 17, and another McNeil High School student were charged with sexual assault after a female victim's outcry to police.

ROUND ROCK, TX — According to a recently released arrest affidavit, a female complainant told police she was sexually assaulted by two McNeil High School students two months ago.

The victim told police accused the two students were acquaintances. Her outcry led police to arrest Deshun Semaj Thomas, 17, on a 2nd degree felony charge of sexual assault punishable by up to 20 years in prison, the Austin American-Statesman reported.

A second accused teenager is a juvenile, shielding his identity from public record, the paper noted.

According to the affidavit, the female said she went to the juvenile's house, when his mother was not home, in a part of the the city that lies in Williamson County. She and the two teens went outside, smoked marijuana and drank vodka, the Statesman reported from the affidavit. She then became drowsy after sipping some wine, she told police.

As she slept on the couch, Thomas is said to have sexually assaulted her as she screamed and tried to push him away, according to the report. After Thomas helped her to a bed in another room of the house, the woman was assaulted by the other ten after she fell asleep again, the Statesman reported while citing from the affidavit.

A copy of a Snapchat conversation was provided to police in which Thomas is said to have apologized for the incident while directing her not to tell anyone that it had occurred, according to the report. As of Thursday, Thomas was being held at the Williamson County Jail with a bail of $100,000.

McNeil High School is part of the Round Rock ISD.
