'Person Of Interest' Questioned On Round Rock School Threats
WilCo sheriff said a juvenile was being questioned about recent threats to Cedar Valley Middle School threats, saying found gun unrelated.
ROUND ROCK, TX — A "person of interest is being held in connection to threats made against Cedar Valley Middle School, the county sheriff said Wednesday, while a handgun found in a nearby neighborhood was deemed unconnected to the incidents.
Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody said a juvenile was being questioned in regard to threats made via SnapChat to "shoot up the school." The threats have been deemed not be credible, even though as the unidentified juvenile was being questioned, the sheriff said.
The same day, Chody said a handgun found nearby was not connected to the threats. Chody said a student and parent found the firearm while walking to school. He lauded the witnesses as exemplifying the police mantra "If you see something, say something."

Chody said bolstered police patrols at the school would continue as an added precaution and to offer students and staff peace of mind after they endured the anxiety of having their school be the subject of threats.
