Police Seek Suspect In North Austin, Round Rock, Pflugerville Car Wash Burglaries

Same suspect is thought to have burglarized no less than ten businesses throughout the region, and police seek public's help locating him.

ROUND ROCK, TX — Police are seeking information related to multiple commercial burglaries of car wash businesses in Round Rock, Pflugerville and North Austin, officials said Tuesday.

Investigators believe the same suspect is responsible for no less than 10 break-ins at the businesses that have occurred between June 24-27. In each case, cash drawers and store safes were targeted, police said in an advisory. Each burglary has occurred in the early morning hours between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. when the businesses are closed, police added.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 20s standing at at height between six feet, eight inches and six feet tall. He has black hair, brown eyes, a medium stocky build with a short fade haircut. In each case, the suspect has been seen wearing athletic shoes, long athletic pants, a sweatshirt and a light-colored tan or desert camo-style mask covering only his neck and face from the nose down.

The suspect also has been captured on surveillance video carrying a large green backpack bearing various tools, including a portable electric grinder and yellow pry bars, police said.
