  1. Round Rock ISD board of trustees will meet again to consider the status of its superintendent position on Jan. 27, 2022. The board met on Jan. 20 to discuss the status of the position and to consider hiring an interim superintendent but no action was taken from the meeting. This week's meeting will have an agenda item to "deliberate and consider the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline or dismissal of the superintendent" the could possibly resolve the situation.   2. Round Rock records lowest unemployment rate in Texas. The rate of 2.9 percent is a testament to the strength of the community's job growth. The new data was released by the Texas Workforce Commission. (Beaumont Enterprise)
  3. Round Rock High School senior has been selected to represent Texas in highly competitive merit based United States Senate Youth Program. Krupali Kumar will join another Texas student virtually for the program in March. Kumar will also receive a $10,000 undergraduate college scholarship. (Round Rock ISD News)
