Residential Utility Customers Will See Water Bill Increase

ROUND ROCK, TX -- Residential utility customers will see an average 3 percent increase in their water bill this month.

City officials said the jump in charges is intended to help offset the rising costs of providing and treating water along with collection rates. The increase will be reflected in the January billing cycle.

For most residential customers, the water volume charge will increase to $2.49 per 1,000 gallons, while the minimum monthly service fee will increase to $14.69.

Additionally,the sewer volume will increase to $3.39 per 1,000 gallons and the minimum monthly service charge will jump to $13.27.

Larger meter sizes will see comparable increases, city officials added.
