River Ranch County Park Construction Set For Groundbreaking
Park and road entrance, both projects funded with voter-approved bonds, set for Monday, Dec. 10 groundbreaking at 1 p.m.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS — A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for construction of River Ranch County Park and its entrance road off Bagdad Road next week, county officials said.
Both projects are being funded with voter-approved bonds, officials noted. River Ranch County Park is undeveloped property comprising more than 1,000 acres of meadowlands, wetlands and hills, officials described. The project run along the South Fork of the San Gabriel River.
The master plan for the park includes areas for picnics, camping, hiking, horse paths, and RV camping. The park was designed by Design Workshop Landscape Architects and is being constructed by Ritter, Botkin Prime Construction Company, Inc. for a total amount of $11,040,192.26.

River Ranch County Park entrance road is being constructed off Bagdad Road/CR 279 west of CR 278. This project includes a new River Ranch County Park entrance road that is a half mile long on the west side of the intersection and reconstruction of the intersection to include acceleration and turn lanes, officials said. The project also includes utilities, and a trail connecting Bagdad Road and Park Headquarters. The design was completed by LAN and is being constructed by Champion Site Preparation for an amount of $2,959,000, officials noted. The road is anticipated to be completed in 16 months.
The groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled on Monday, Dec. 10, at 1 p.m. at River Ranch County Park, 1751 C.R. 282, in Liberty Hill, Texas.
