Round Rock-Based Nolan Ryan Beef Gives 11K Pounds Of Food For Hurricane Harvey Victims

ROUND ROCK, TX — Nolan Ryan Beef, the company and brand owned by Major League Baseball Hall of Famer and Texas rancher Nolan Ryan and ranching partners, announced Thursday it has donated 11,000 pounds of various all-beef products to the Houston Food Bank for victims of Hurricane Harvey.

As an exclusive retail partner of Kroger supermarkets in Texas, Nolan Ryan Beef officials worked together with Kroger’s team in Houston to determine how to most effectively help victims of Hurricane Harvey through a donation, officials said. Ultimately, it was decided that a direct donation to the Houston Food Bank would have the greatest impact.

As Nolan Ryan Beef products are fresh and perishable, company officials said they waited to make the donation until more critical recovery efforts were completed and the Food Bank was in a position to make the best use of the products.

Previously headquartered in Conroe, Texas, Nolan Ryan Beef recently relocated its corporate base to Round Rock to be closer to other Ryan family-owned and -operated businesses.
