Round Rock Council Members Sworn In At Dec. 3 Meeting
Mayor Morgan, Council Members Ly and Ortega begin three-year terms

Two new Round Rock City Council Members, Frank Ortega and Michelle Ly, and Mayor Craig Morgan were sworn in for three-year terms at the Dec. 3 Council meeting.

Ortega now serves in Place 4 and Ly serves in Place 1 after being elected in the Nov. 3 elections.
County Court at Law One Judge Brandy Hallford administered the oath of office to Ly and Morgan, and State Rep. James Talarico administered the oath of office to Ortega.

“We have work to do. We live in a great city,” Morgan said. “I look forward to working with all of you.”
City Council and the Round Rock community also bid farewell to outgoing council members, Tammy Young of Place 1, and Will Peckham of Place 4.
Morgan praised the outgoing council members for their unique perspectives and history of service to the community.
“I want you both to stay involved because there’s a place for you,” he said.
