ROUND ROCK, TX — City Council members recently voted to rename the city's municipal courtroom as the Dan R. McNery Municipal Courtroom in honor of the judge who passed away earlier this year.
McNery served as the city's municipal court judge for fore than half his lifetime starting in 1982, and practiced law in the community for 39 years, officials noted.
“He served with integrity and dedication throughout his appointment,” retired Court Administrator Tracie Glaeser said. Glaeser sent the formal request to council for the renaming of the facility. “He lived his life in a way that influenced and positively impacted so many people who continued to learn from him," Glaeser said.
