Round Rock Garners 7 Communications Awards

The city hauled some serious hardware during the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers in North Texas on June 6.

ROUND ROCK, TX — The City of Round Rock hauled some serious hardware at the recent Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers staged in North Texas.

The city won seven awards in excellence in communication and marketing at the conference that took place on June 6 in Denton, Texas, a city just north of Dallas.

Two first place honors went for video production: last year’s budget video, Blueprint for Success, and the Hometown Downtown video series. Last year’s Beaujolais Nights: Jazz and Wine Uncorked won for One-Time Event; and the city won Best Photography for a second consecutive year.

The city’s Future Forward program, which highlights elements of Round Rock’s strategic planning, won second place awards for Planned Use of Social Media as well as Marketing Plan/Campaign. The poster for Beaujolais Nights won a second-place award for best Flier/Poster.
