Round Rock To Get A 'Bar Louie' Soon, Officials Say

ROUND ROCK, TX — Fans of Bar Louie in Round Rock are in for a treat, as the company plans to expand into Round Rock in the near future.

Officials of the neighborhood bar and eatery chain featuring handcrafted cocktails and made-from-scratch food announced Thursday plans to expand into the South Texas Valley and Round Rock in the coming months. The local site will be run by franchise partners Perspective Hospitality Management Services, LLC, officials said.

Aside from Round Rock, other markets in which the chain will expand include South Padre Island and McAllen, officials said. The company currently operates more than 130 locations across 27 states. Officials didn't specify a date as to the opening of the Round Rock site or where it would be located.

The sites in McAllen and South Padre Island will represent Bar Louie's entry into South Texas, officials noted. The new locations will be opened under the leadership of Barry Patel, Raj Patel and Hershal Patel, and create a collective 250 new jobs, officials said.

"Just like every different city in South Texas from McAllen down to South Padre Island, each Bar Louie location will have its own set of diverse characteristics and provide a unique atmosphere to its guests," said Jill Szymanski, Director of Franchise and Real Estate for Bar Louie. "We can't wait to see what new experiences potential Bar Louis franchisees will bring to their communities."

Among those experiences are the famed Bar Louie $5 burgers on Tuesdays, Brews and Blues nights and National Martini Day, Szymanski noted.

Bar Louie officials suggested the expansion is part of its effort to expand both through corporate locations and qualified franchise partners. Officials noted Perspective Hospitality brings a wealth of experience in food and beverage as well as intimate knowledge of the South Texas market.

"Their knowledge of the local markets and the uniqueness of their hotel properties offers the brand and them an opportunity to create a unique experience for their guests as well as others in the market," Szymanski said.

Founded in Chicago's River North neighborhood in 1991, Bar Louie emerged from local restaurants and sandwich shops opened by its founders, local Chicago restaurateurs, officials described. "When Bar Louie was first established, its two founders set out with a goal to continue the tradition of these shops while also giving local residents dining and beverage options for each part of the day," officials added.

The "Louie" sandwich was a staple of the early restaurants and is still served at Bar Louie establishments across the country, according to company officials. For more information on Bar Louie visit www.barlouie.com.
