Round Rock Gun Show Canceled After Firearm Goes Off Accidentally

The show scheduled this weekend will no longer proceed after a vendor fired a firearm by accident at a November event.

ROUND ROCK, TX β€” A gun show that had been planned this weekend didn't go off after a firearm was discharged last year, organizers said.

Round Rock Sports Center officials opted not to host gun shows anymore after a vendor discharged a firearm by accident during a show hosted by Premier Gun Shows at the facility last November, the Austin American-Statesman reported. Chad McKenzie, director of sports management and tourism for the City of Round Rock, confirmed the cancellation.

The group staging the gun show had a contract for the gathering March 17-18 at the sports center, which is located at 2400 Chisholm Trail.
