Round Rock High School Students Invited To Attend 'Ethics In Youth Conference'

Speakers, professional development advice, résumé​ reviews, relationship-building insights and interviews with employers all scheduled.

ROUND ROCK, TX — High school students attending Round Rock ISD high school students to meet potential employers and build a code of personal ethics during the upcoming 2017 Ethics in Youth Conference.

The March 25 conference will be hosted by Round Rock ISD Partners in Education (PIE) Foundation, RecognizeGood and Round Rock ISD. The event will feature speakers from RecongizeGood and organizations across Central Texas sharing advice on business ethics, communication and building relationships.

After the speakers' presentations, professional development sessions will be offered to students wishing to have their résumés reviewed by a Career and Technical Education professional or receive one-on-one coaching by a member of RecognizeGood. Employers from across the city also will be available to conduct on-site interviews with students.

The conference is scheduled to take place from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Westwood High School Cafeteria, 12400 Mellow Meadow Dr., in Austin. To attend, students must register online by March 8. Students are asked to bring 10 to 15 copies of their résumé and dress in business casual attire. Students wanting their résumés reviewed will need to download a copy onto a USB drive or make it accessible via GoogleDocs.

  • Cedar Ridge High School: Pick up – 7:30 a.m., Drop off – 1:00 p.m.
  • McNeil High School: Pick up – 7:30 a.m., Drop off – 1:00 p.m.
  • Round Rock High School: Pick up – 7:45 a.m., Drop off – 1:15 p.m.
  • Stony Point High School: Pick up – 7:45 a.m., Drop off – 1:15 p.m.
