Cedar Park Team In Central Texas Regional Lifeguard Competition

CEDAR PARK, TX – The Rock'N River Waterpark located in Round Rock was chosen to host the 2018 Central Texas Regional Lifeguard Competition scheduled Wednesday, July 18.

The city’s water park venue at 3300 E. Palm Valley Blvd. was nominated by the organization’s local aquatics association Central Texas Aquatics Association (CTTA) to host the event that starts at 8 a.m.

The event brings teams from across Texas to participate in regional competitions throughout June and July to

earn bids to the State Lifeguard Competition. The top 3 finishers in each Regional competition are invited to compete at the State Level. The State Lifeguard Competition to take place July 30 in College Station.

The City of Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting and facilitating scenarios during the day’s events. Round Rock lifeguards will have two teams competing in the event, along with teams from the University of Texas, Cedar Park, Georgetown and Kerrville.
