Round Rock ISD Gets B Grade From State: See Your School’s Grade

ROUND ROCK, TX — Round Rock ISD received an overall B accountability grade from the Texas Education Agency. The ratings were released on Thursday for approximately 1,200 school districts and charter schools.

For the 2019 ratings, the agency provided A-F ratings for individual schools in addition to the letter grades it usually provides for district and charters. The grades are given based on performance in the following three categories:

• Student Achievement: shows how much students know and are able to do at the end of the school year.
• School Progress: shows how students perform over time and how that growth compares to similar schools.
• Closing the Gaps: shows how well different groups of students within a school are performing.

The majority of districts and charters in the state received an overall B rating while 301 received an A rating. 14 districts and charters received an F rating from the state. Compared to 2018, more districts and charters received overall A and B grades and fewer received overall F grades.

“Performance continues to improve in Texas schools because of the tireless effort of Texas teachers, administrators and staff. I am particularly proud of the educators at the 296 high-poverty schools that achieved an A rating this year,” Education Commissioner Mike Morath said in a press release.

• GREAT OAKS ELEMENTARY
