Round Rock ISD Names Hernandez Middle School Principal

Nachelle Scott has 19 years of experience in education after earning degrees at University of Houston and Sam Houston State University.

ROUND ROCK, TX -- Round Rock ISD have named Nachelle Scott as the new principal of Hernandez Middle School, officials announced.

Scott formerly served as Lead Assistant Principal at Humble Middle School and Summer School Principal in Humble ISD since 2007. She previously served as an assistant principal of data and information at Instructional Literacy Coach and teacher, and has 19 years of experience in the field of education.

“I am beyond excited to join both the Hernandez Middle School and Round Rock ISD family,” Scott said in a prepared statement. “I believe in the importance of relationships and I look forward to meeting the students, teachers, parents and community members soon. I am truly honored to serve the Hernandez Middle School community and look forward to an outstanding year.”

Scott earned a master's degree in science and educational management from the University of Houston — Clear Lake. Before that, she earned a bachelor’s degree in science in psychology from Sam Houston State University.
“Nachelle Scott is an outstanding educational leader and a passionate advocate for public education and student success,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Steve Flores said in a statement. “She supports campus achievement and high quality teaching and learning. I am confident that she will bring this experience and more to Hernandez to further its established tradition of excellence.”
Hernandez Middle School has an enrollment of 754 students.
