Round Rock: Library Awarded Texas Book Festival Grant

For the second year in a row, the Library was awarded a $2,500 Texas Book Festival grant. The grant is awarded for projects that enhance library collections and contribute to a love of reading. With the funds, the library will purchase 53 Wonderbooks appropriate for ages 3-12. A

Wonderbook is a new product recently available to libraries. It is a print book with a ready-to-play audiobook inside the cover. Kids can choose to read along with the book, or they can switch to learning mode, which aids in reading comprehension. A previous grant from Round Rock Woman’s Club started the library’s collection of Wonderbooks.
