Round Rock Man Charged With Intentionally Striking Motorcyclist

Logan Christopher Vance, 27, is charged with deliberately colliding with Harley Davidson rider while traveling on Interstate 35.

ROUND ROCK, TX — A Round Rock man was arrested after police say he ran over a motorcyclist acquaintance of his before fleeing the scene.

Details of the incident dating to Thursday were just made available via an arrest affidavit referenced by the Austin American-Statesman in a report. Police were called at around 3 p.m. to the 2900 block of Interstate 35 North in Georgetown, where a witness told them a gray Nissan approached her at a high rate of speed. The witness told police she saw the motorcyclist thrown off his Harley Davidson, according to the report.

The motorcyclist sustained wounds to an elbow and knee as a result of the collision, according to the report. The witness took a picture of the Nissan while it was stopped at a light, enabling police to track down the suspect to a Round Rock home.

Ultimately, Logan Christopher Vance, 27, was charged with accident involving injury —a third-degree felony punishable by up to a decade in prison. According to jail records, Vance also was charged with driving without a license. He was being held in the Williamson County Jail as of Monday with bail set at $30,000.
