Round Rock Offers Free Bus Rides On Election Day Nov. 6, 2018

Car in the shop? Too tired to drive? Short on gas money? No excuses as free rides offered on all CapMetro bus routes, paratransit service.

ROUND ROCK, TEXAS — If you're hesitant to cast your all-important ballot on Election Day because of your aversion to driving, you have no excuse: Round Rock voters can enjoy a free ride to the polls on Tuesday, Nov. 6.

As part of CapMetro‘s “Ride to Vote” initiative, registered voters can get a free ride to their polling site on Election Day. Round Rock’s paratransit service will also be included in the free ride promotion.

Election information, including a list of polling places, can be found on the websites for Travis County and Williamson County.

It's remarkably easy to plot out one's route via the area transit system. Simply visit he CapMetro website, insert your origin and destination points, and voila! For the uninitiated, simply call the Go Line at (512) 474-1200 to speak to an operator who can assist you determine where to catch your bus.

Think about it: You'll reduce your carbon footprint and cast your ballot in a free democracy all in the same day! It doesn't get better than that.
