Round Rock Officials Help Reunite Girl With Her Lost Teddy Bear
A little girl, her lost bear, hometown charm and some caring strangers create a plot that's unbearably cute.
ROUND ROCK -- Reunited, and it feels so good.
After a Tuesday post by Downtown Round Rock officials on their Facebook page alerting to a lost teddy bear, the owner was found. The plush toy had been found last week, and civic officials feared its young owner might be missing him.
“This little guy was left at Music on Main last week and misses his family,” officials wrote. They included a description (perhaps to distinguish the bear from all the other lost ones): “He is approximately one foot tall, tan and unBEARably cute.”

Hours after the initial post, a woman called to say the bear belonged to her daughter. She made arrangements to pick up the teddy bear later that day.
“We have found Teddy's owner and will be reuniting the two tomorrow night at Music on Main featuring Charles Thibodeaux and the Austin Cajun Aces!” officials wrote, cleverly inserting a plug for the civic event.

“Until then, he's celebrating the thought of going home!” they wrote, posting a photo of the bear in front of a cake, donning a party cap. The cake has the words “Going home” written in icing.
As heartwarming as the whole drama was, it’s the last picture in the series -- a smiling little girl reunited with her bear -- that’s the most touching.
“A truly heartwarming story, but isn't that what hometowns are all about?” officials wrote in conclusion to the bear story.
Indeed, even Norman Rockwell would be proud. Don't you just love a happy ending?
