Round Rock Parks & Rec Division Named 'Aquatic Agency Of The Year'
Texas Public Pool Council presents the aquatics division with the honor during its recent conference staged in San Antonio.

ROUND ROCK, TX — The City of Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department Aquatics Division was recently awarded “Class 1 Aquatic Agency of the Year” by the Texas Public Pool Council, city officials announced.
Dedicated to providing information and education to aquatic professionals, The Texas Public Pool Council considers Class 1 agencies as those with a population of more than 75,000 residents, officials explained. Recipients of the award are compelled to demonstrate effective, quality aquatics programming, have a significant impact on the youth and families of their local community through entertainment and fun and have successful implantation of an innovating or existing new program, according to their criteria.
Applications for the award required agencies to submit a program description, examples of innovation and adaptation to meet special populations and a clear demonstration of the program’s overall impact and success.
The Texas Public Pool Council awards committee presented the award during the recent 2017 TPPC Conference in San Antonio, Texas.
