Round Rock Police Continue Search For Hit-And-Run Driver

Officials ask public to be on the lookout for blue passenger car with likely damage to front or windshield that struck and killed man.

ROUND ROCK, TEXAS — Round Rock police continue to search for the hit-and-driver involved in a collision that left a pedestrian dead this week, releasing on Friday more details related to the car that hit the victim.

Cleveland Elliott, 24, was walking near Gattis School Road just west of Surrey Drive between 1:35 and 1:45 a.m on Wednesday, April 17, when he was struck by a vehicle. Elliott was transported to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Police on Friday said the vehicle that fatally struck Elliott is a blue passenger car that possibly has damage to the front of the vehicle or windshield. Anyone with related to a vehicle believed to have been involved in the incident, and known to be traveling in the area at the time of the accident, is asked to email Detective Weaver at lweaver@roundrocktexas.gov.
