Round Rock Police Dispatched To Examine Suspicious Package

ROUND ROCK, TX — A two-hour investigation into a suspicious package at a Round Rock university campus led to some anxiety Wednesday evening before it was determined to to pose a threat.

The Austin American-Statesman reported that police were called to the Texas A&M Health Science Center to investigate the package at around 5 p.m. The item was in the northeaster parking lot at the site, prompting police to block off the lot to traffic.

People in the building were asked to stay indoors during the investigation.

By 7 p.m., an all-clear was issued by police who secured the benign package for closer examination.
