Round Rock Police Launch 'Operation Front Porch'
Now in its second year, program enables residents to have holiday packages sent to police headquarters for safe keeping and later retrieval.

ROUND ROCK, TEXAS — Just in time for the holidays, the Round Rock Police Department is launching Operation Front Porch for the second consecutive year.
You might be asking: What is Operation Front Porch? The program is one of many ways to prevent package theft during the holidays, enabling residents to have packages delivered to police headquarters for safe keeping until they return home for retrieval.
"Every package sent to the PD is one less opportunity for theft, allowing police officers to focus on higher priority issues," officials explained.
