Round Rock Rock 'N River Water Park Chosen For Statewide Lifeguard Competition

A dozen lifeguard teams will be traveling to Round Rock for the Texas State Lifeguard Competition on July 31, officials announced.

ROUND ROCK, TX — The city of Round Rock’s Rock’N River Water Park was chosen by the Texas Public Pool Council to host its 2017 Texas State Lifeguard Competition, officials announced on Friday.

The Waterpark venue was nominated by the organization’s local TPPC chapter and voted on by Aquatic Professionals state-wide at their annual conference in February, officials said.

Teams from across Texas competed in regional competitions, with the top three teams from each regional competition earning a bid to compete at the state level. A total of 12 lifeguard teams will be traveling to Round Rock for the Texas State Lifeguard Competition on July 31 starting at 7 a.m.
